WELCOME to the GWP Club of Northern California Home Page!

The German Wirehaired Pointer Club of Northern California was formed:

to encourage and promote the breeding of pure-bred German Wirehaired Pointers and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection;
to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which German Wirehaired Pointers shall be judged;
to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials, field trials and hunting tests:
to conduct performance events such as hunting tests, specialty shows, field trials,obedience trials and sanctioned matches under the rules of The American Kennel Club.

Many times, it's the small things, the daily routines, surprise actions, or idiosyncrasies of our GWP's which involve no titles or other public rewards that can delight us or raise questions in our minds. If you're a GWPCNC Club Member and you'd like to share a story or two, click on the "Brags and Wags" link below to post your tale. Again, if you're a GWPCNC Club Member and would like to post a GWP litter announcement, there's a category for you to do so--or, if you have News of interest to the community, post it in the "News" category on the Board.
